On behalf of the SPE Oklahoma City Section, it's my pleasure to invite you to the 2027 SPE Oklahoma City Oil & Gas Symposium, May 3–5, 2027, at The National in downtown Oklahoma City.

Since our first symposium in 1971, this event has brought our region's operators, service companies, and technology providers together around one question: what could we be doing better? It applies to every part of this business; how we develop the acreage, how we drill, how we complete, how we produce, how we spend. This symposium exists so the people working on the answers can learn from one another directly.

Our technical program will focus on proven advances and emerging concepts across drilling, completions, production, and reservoir engineering; with an emphasis on work that improves well and program economics. We are particularly interested in operator-led case studies and results. Those sessions are consistently the most valuable conversations in the room.

We're excited to be at a new venue this year. The National puts us in the heart of downtown, with the technical program, exhibition, and networking events all under one roof, and it's built for the kind of hallway conversations that make a symposium worth attending. We expect over 1,000 industry professionals across the three days.

There are several ways to be part of it. Propose a presentation and share what your team has learned. We welcome speakers from operators, service companies, and technology providers alike. On a personal note: this is my third time chairing the SPE OKC Oil and Gas Symposium, after 2019 and 2023, and it remains one of the most rewarding industry things I do outside of my day job. I earned my degree in petroleum engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and later an Executive MBA from the University of Oklahoma, and I've been with Devon Energy since 2013. I've been involved with the SPE Oklahoma City Section since 2015, and much of what I know about this business I learned from people I met through it; in sessions like the ones we're building, and in the conversations that happened afterward. Getting to help put this event together is a chance to give some of that back, and I don't take it lightly.

I want to thank our volunteer committee, who give their time on top of demanding jobs to put this together, and the companies who support them in doing it.
